NEW PRODUCTS

 Today we have created a new Purse which can put pen and pencil etc.  The material used for this item were dyed by using Jack and Used Tea. 

JACK WOOD  

Jack is a valued tree in sri lanka called by name of KOS in Sinhala language. And wood of this tree has been used for making furniture. It is botanical name is Artocarpus integra/ Artocarpus heterophyllus.

We are making yellow coloure by dust of jack tree.

RECYCLING OF COLOURED WATER

As we know, the coloured water can use one time to colouring purpose.  But at the first time we found that the coloured water can use two times to colouring purpose.  Here you can see the staff member of Somekobo is measuring the one time used coloured water to prepare for use another time.

MARGOSA TREE

 

This tree is called KOHOMBA in Sinhala Language and the botanical name is "Melia azadirachte/Azadirachte indica". We can see the Kohomba tree in dry zone in Sri Lanka.  This tree is mainly used to make herbal items in Aurwedic medicine.  This tree is most famous to cure skin inspection among the Sri Lankan people as well as use to make beauty culture items like soap, perfume etc.  

After the experiment we found that the colour of this tree is very nice to colouring.  The colour of this tree is like wine red.  We have created many items using KOHOMBA coloured cloths to the market recently.
